On Friday, our 2nd and 3rd grade students took a walking field trip to The Bing Rooming House Museum in Plant City. Students learned about the historical importance of the Bing House to Plant City and about how the importance of the Bing House now, as they preserve history and share the story of Plant City's past. We are grateful that students were able to visit the Bing House, although they could not go inside due to hurricane damage from last year. The museum graciously created an outdoor museum so our students could experience the Bing House Rooming House Museum. You can learn more about the museum at www.plantcitybinghouse.com.

Last Thursday the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections hosted an election with our 2nd grade students. Students were voting for a class mascot. They were able to learn about the election process and vote, using the same booths and tablets that their parents use. This was a great first election experience for these future voters.
