I am Matthew DiPrima, the proud Principal at Burns Middle School. At Burns, we are proud to offer a dynamic learning environment where high academic expectations are the foundation of everything we do. Our students are challenged in all core content areas, with opportunities to earn high school credits and participate in double-accelerated math programs that prepare them for advanced academic success.

We are especially proud of our award-winning music program, which includes a superlative band, orchestra, and chorus that inspire creativity and discipline in our students.

Burns is also a leader in career and technical education. Students explore hands-on, future-focused courses in business technology, robotics, coding, aerospace technology, flight simulation, culinary arts, and family and consumer science—developing real-world skills and a strong sense of purpose.

Our instructional focus is grounded in collaborative engagement and student academic ownership, empowering students to take charge of their learning in meaningful, lasting ways.
