Principal's Message
I am the proud principal of our Admiral crew! I opened the school as the Assistant Principal and was honored to be named Principal during the 2023-2024 school year. Our K-8 Magnet focus as an International Baccalaureate World School with STEM integration is something I am deeply committed to and am proud of the growth within our students and staff. We seek meaningful experiences to connect with our families and community partners through events such as our International Festival, Family STEAM Nights, and assemblies to honor Veterans, Black History, and cultural celebrations. Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy Admirals will emerge as principled and innovative life-long learners who will create a culturally compassionate world!

York is a technology rich K-8 site where inquiry and critical thinking skills are part of daily routines with a focus on STEM integration. York is committed to developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
