Principal's Message

Mrs. Becky Edgar, Principal

Welcome to Cypress Creek Elementary, Home of the Manatees!  I am extremely proud to serve as Principal of CCE and am excited for the upcoming year.  This year, as "Six Houses, One School", we will strive to celebrate individual strengths, encourage collaboration, and inspire a sense of belonging for all members of our school community.  We have many events planned for the upcoming year and encourage your participation through volunteering, joining the PTA or becoming a business partner.

I look forward to welcoming our families and ensuring Cypress Creek remains a place of opportunity where students are excited to learn and grow.

House Celebration

Students and staff wear their house colors and swag to our monthly House Celebrations. These whole school celebrations allow our Six Houses to come together as One School. Each house shows their pride and performs their house chant before the total monthly points for each house are shared. Students from the winning house are rewarded for their positive behavior and choices. Top earners in each homeroom are also rewarded.

2025 Senior Send-Off

CCE hosted our first "Senior Send-Off" for graduates of the Class of 2025 that attended Cypress Creek early in their learning journey. These students were 5th graders in the 2017-2018 school year. We wish the Class of 2025 the best in their future endeavors and cannot wait to celebrate the Class of 2026 in May.

Girls on the Run

The Girls on the Run team provides an opportunity for our 3rd through 5th grade girls to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team while blending physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. The team closes the season by participating in a 5K alongside the other Tampa Bay teams. Information for the upcoming season will be available at our open house event.
