Principal's Message

Principal Karen Fletcher

Greetings from Wimauma Elementary School, home of the Wildcats.
As the lead learner of Wimauma Elementary School, I look forward to serving you and your children for the 2025-2026 school year.  With 31 years of educational experience in Hillsborough County, I am honored to lead the charge as we partner together on this fulfilling journey that lies ahead of us.
Our school vision is: Within 3 years of being at our school, 100% of our students will be on grade level in reading and math and maintain proficiency each subsequent year. We cannot accomplish this without all of us being an integral part as it really does take a village to raise a child.  Our goal is to continue to partner with our families and the community to see our vision come to life. Each student that is entrusted into our hands will be respected as an individual and valued for their own unique contributions to their accomplishments.  It is with much love that we will help students use the desire, focus and purpose from within to steer them in the right direction.  Our road to success will have its bumps and even potholes, however, we will travel with grace and dignity as we maneuver any obstacle to reach our destination.
This year will entail many opportunities for you to get involved to support the growth of our scholars.  So, join us as we navigate the path to success for all learners.

K. M. Fletcher, Principal

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program provides funding to participating schools so they can provide a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables to children throughout the school day. It is an effective and creative way to introduce fresh fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options. The goals of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) are to: Create healthier school environments by providing healthier food choices. Expand the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience. Increase children's fruit and vegetable consumption. Make a difference in children's diets to impact their present and future health.
