Principal's Message

Eric Turner, Principal

Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Ferrell Girls Preparatory Academy! I’m Eric Turner, and I am honored to serve as your principal. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of working within this extraordinary school community—as a teacher, assistant principal, and now principal. Ferrell holds a special place in my heart, and I am excited to continue our shared work of shaping confident, capable, and compassionate young women.

At Ferrell, we believe girls can accomplish anything when they are supported, challenged, and inspired. Our mission is to empower students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Through a rigorous curriculum, meaningful enrichment, and a strong focus on character development, we provide a nurturing and focused learning environment where each girl can discover her strengths, embrace her identity, and pursue her dreams.

This year’s theme, “Ferrell Fierce,” captures the bold, resilient spirit of our school community. It’s more than a slogan—it’s a mindset that calls us to approach learning and leadership with confidence and determination. To our returning families, thank you for your continued trust and partnership. To our new families, welcome to a community that celebrates sisterhood, excellence, and potential. I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead and to working together to ensure every student leads, learns, and thrives.

What is the Cambridge Lower Secondary Program?

Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. Schools can shape the programme around how they want their students to learn, developing young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. The programme provides a natural progression for children from lower secondary education and prepares them for post-14 education programmes that lead to formal qualifications. By offering Cambridge Lower Secondary, we provide a broad and balanced education for learners, helping them to thrive throughout their schooling, work and life
