Welcome to Mort Elementary, a Community Partnership School. As we begin on a new school year, I am thrilled to welcome both returning families and those joining us for the first time.
At Mort, we believe in creating an innovative environment which empowers students, encourages parents, enriches families, and elevates the community Our dedicated team of educators are committed to providing the highest quality education while ensuring that students develop essential skills for success—academically, socially, and emotionally.
We invite you to take an active role in your child’s education by staying involved, communicating with teachers, and participating in school events. Together, we can make this year a meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone.

The CASA program was created to bring a sense of community to Mort Elementary School. CASA stands for Character, Attendance, Service and Academics. Every student and staff member are assigned a house: Courage (blue), Determination (green), Loyalty (black), Perseverance (red), Respect (yellow). Students earn points daily for their house, attend house meetings, wear uniforms in their house color, and compete to be the House of the Month.
Mort Elementary, a Community Partnership School, delivers comprehensive wraparound support to address the needs of students, their families, and the broader community. Services include a food pantry, a parent resource center, and access to physical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care, along with expanded learning opportunities. This integrated approach promotes student wellness, family engagement, and academic success.
At Mort Elementary, we have Newline Boards in all classrooms and one-to-one laptops for every student.
