Principal's Message

Gregory Basham, Principal

Welcome to the Lion's Den! I consider it a privilege to serve this community and our students as the Principal of C. Leon King High School. Our lions have a long and proud tradition of excellence in academics, the arts and athletics. At King, we strive to create a space where students, teachers, parents, staff and the community can collaborate to continue the tradition of excellence established by the thousands of alumni who have gone on to have a positive impact on our society.  There are high expectations for citizenship in our school community, and we believe in a high level of engagement by all stakeholders to ensure our young people have the support they need to excel as a learner while being exposed to a curriculum designed to prepare them for their future. This sort of collaboration has proven to make a difference in education, and we provide our students with the opportunity to reach their potential. We look forward to partnering with you to help our students achieve success.

Student Parking Information

To obtain a parking pass, please follow the steps below: 1. Complete the Student Parking Pass Form in SAO or Online - Ensure all required information is accurate and complete. - Bring the completed form along with the following documents to Student Affairs: - Valid Driver’s License - Current Proof of Insurance - Vehicle Registration 2. Submit the $20 Payment - Payment may be submitted online or using Payment Plus. Please Note: Parking passes must be visibly displayed at all times while parked on school property. Unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Early Graduation Option (24 Credit)

King Early Graduation Option (24 Credits)

Example of the courses completed over a 3-year period for students who wish to graduate early. At least one course must be completed online to meet the timeline for graduating a full year early. This is contingent on meeting ALL the requirements for graduation set by the State of Florida (including Proficiency Tests).
