Principal's Message

Denise Wheatley, principal of Roosevelt Elementary

I am honored and excited to welcome you to Roosevelt Elementary School, home of the Rough Riders! As we embark on this new academic year, I reflect with gratitude entering my fifth year serving as your principal. It has been a privilege to witness our students' growth, our dedicated staff's unwavering commitment, and our community's steadfast support.

Roosevelt Elementary, established in 1925 and proudly listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, stands as a testament to nearly a century of educational excellence. Our school's rich history is matched by our ongoing dedication to fostering a nurturing and academically rigorous environment where every child can thrive.

As a Grade A school, our success is a collective achievement. It is the result of our students' hard work, our educators' passion, and the invaluable involvement of our families and community partners. I firmly believe that education is a collaborative endeavor, and I invite you to join us in this journey.

As we move forward, let's continue to embody the spirit of the Rough Riders. Together, we will ensure that Roosevelt Elementary remains a place where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their fullest potential.
