I am Dr. Kevin Gordon, principal of Hillsborough High School, home of "The Big Red"! Our school is the first and oldest high school in the county. We are also home to the longest running International Baccalaureate program as well. At Hillsborough High School, students have the opportunity to get involved in Interscholastic Sports, clubs, as well as robotics. We also offer those students wishing to develop business acumen, the opportunity to get involved with our 3DE program. At The Big Red, we pride ourselves on providing all students with a high-quality education and a multitude of extracurricular activities that ensure a well-rounded experience.
We invite you to become a member of the IB Alliance, a 501(c)(3) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) dedicated to enriching the IB experience for students, parents, and teachers who are in the IB program. Your participation in the IB Alliance is an opportunity to support your child's education and foster a collaborative and supportive environment that benefits the entire school community.
Hillsborough High School has hundreds of student athletes. The Class of 2025’s athletic accomplishments included district championships in girls’ track, and regional runner up in flag football, one game away from the state championship series marking the furthest the program has gone in school history. Senior Makyla Hickman led the team offensively with over 900 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. She will graduate as the all-time leading receiver for Hillsborough High School. We also have 6 seniors of will be attending college this Fall on an athletic scholarship.
Hillsborough High School has three counselors to meet the needs of the students. The counseling department focuses on the development of the whole student, providing personal, social, academic, college and career counseling. Support is provided for students through individual counseling as well as classroom presentations for all grade levels.
