Principal's Message
Welcome to Brandon Success Center, home of the Panthers! I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve as principal as I enter my fifth year here at BSC. At Brandon Success Center, we are a non-traditional school with traditional ways leading students to success.
Our faculty and staff are committed to fostering life-long learning through a focus on behavioral management, empowering students to "Define You Now"! We believe it's not what brought a student here that defines them, but how they choose to move forward and grow from this point on.
We look forward to working closely with both you and your child to make a lasting, positive difference—academically, behaviorally, and personally.

School Highlights
Non-traditional alternative education model
Brandon Success Center is designed for students referred through behavior-related channels, aiming to support those who have faced disciplinary or behavioral challenges in traditional school settings. Students typically transition here through a placement hearing overseen by the Office of Student Engagement.
Focused on behavioral growth and lifelong learning
Principal Jeanne Terry-Byrd emphasizes that the school empowers students to "Define You Now!"—prioritizing how individuals move forward rather than focusing on past issues.
Programs
Alternative Education Program
Designed for students who have had disciplinary issues or who struggle in traditional school environments. It provides structured support for academic and behavioral improvement, and students have individualized exit plans that guide a smooth transition back to their zoned schools. Exit decisions involve collaboration between administrators and mental-health professionals.
Behavioral Management & Counseling
The school emphasizes behavioral improvement alongside academics, with support from counselors, psychologists, and behavior specialists who mentor students toward improvement goals.
Academic Monitoring Tools
Parents and students can utilize the HCPS “Focus Portal” (accessible via an app) to stay updated on attendance, schedules, report cards, and state testing results.
