Principal's Message

Joshua Phillips, Principal

Welcome to Lutz K-8 School, home of the Leopards! I am so excited and blessed to be the principal of Lutz K-8 School here in Hillsborough County.  I am lucky to be working with such amazing students, staff, and families! Our goal each day is to create and foster a high-quality education for students and families to meet the varying needs of our community and world.  We work each day to ensure students are learning today in order to lead tomorrow.  Thank you for the support you show our school and family, and community involvement is critical to our success! We encourage families to become involved in the great things here at school.  Welcome to the Lutz K-8 School family and let's make it a great year for all our leopards!

At Lutz we strive to grow and learn together daily.  Our students work as teams in dens to earn points and build teamwork monthly. At the end of the month, we celebrate the den that has the highest points.

Every learning space at Lutz K-8 has a Newline Board for state-of-the-art instruction and one-to one student devices are provided in every Kindergarten through 8th grade classroom.

Our Junior Civitan Club works by supporting people and animals in our community through organizing school events, serving the staff and greater Lutz K-8community, and responds to community needs by providing assistance.
Music Ensemble

Music Ensembles

The Music Department at Lutz PK-8 offers a dynamic program with multiple ensembles and performance opportunities. Our ensembles include Xylophone, World Drumming, Guitar/Ukulele, Hand Bells, Recorder, Chorus, and Modern Band. We focus on building musical skills and fostering artistic expression, and our program ensures an engaging and enriching experience for all students.

FBLA members compete in a variety of competitions to showcase their creative thinking and leadership skills that will impact the future of business.
