Principal's Message
Dear Coleman Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Coleman Middle School. I am honored to serve as your principal and to welcome you to another year of excellence.
This year, we proudly celebrate 26 consecutive years as an “A” school, a reflection of the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community partners.
Our theme for the year is "The Year of Ownership: GRIT, GROWTH & GLORY." At Coleman, we believe that curiosity fuels GRIT, grit drives GROWTH, and growth leads to GLORY. Through rigorous learning opportunities and high expectations, we will empower every student to take ownership of their learning and strive for continuous improvement.
As our students rise to new challenges, they will be supported by our amazing faculty and staff, award-winning PTSA, and dedicated Dad’s Club. Together, we will celebrate the achievements and successes that make Coleman a special place to learn and grow.

Best Buddies Program
Coleman hosts the largest Best Buddies chapter among middle schools in Hillsborough County, fostering meaningful peer-to-peer friendships.
Programs
Advanced Scholar Quest Courses
These offer high school–level challenges to middle schoolers, including Advanced Math, Gaming & Simulation Computers, and Robotics, where students can earn high school credits.
Elective Options
Students can choose from electives such as Speech and Debate and participate in a top-ranked music program, which consistently earns straight “Superior” ratings.
