October is AAC Awareness Month. Let's take this time to remember that devices and communication systems are much more than just "a device". Our students' communication system is their voice. ALL of our students have something to say. It's important to remember to charge their devices, replace batteries when needed, and most importantly, have their communication system travel with them. Our students must always have the tools they need to be able to effectively communicate. This month is all about celebrating those who utilize AAC and accepting their system as their voice.
