We’ve officially wrapped up our first week of school, and it was a great success! Students were welcomed with engaging introductions, clear expectations, and a strong focus on building relationships. With over 1,060 students enrolled and more joining daily, we’re excited for the year ahead.

Thank you for your support in helping your child transition smoothly into the new school year. We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated faculty and staff for making this a positive beginning.

Burns Families - Early Arrivals Alert - For safety and security of our students be sure if your child walks to school or is a car rider that they are arriving at school after 9:05. Supervised student drop-off occurs after 9:05am. Students should not come and wait outside the school gates. Students who congregate outside the gate are not supervised and this creates an unsafe environment for our kids. If you need to have child care provided prior to 9am enroll in the HOST program. I have attached the HOST program link. HOST can provide childcare beginning at 7am and after school until 6pm. Students after school should be picked up within 30 minutes of dismissal time. We appreciate your attention to the safety procedures described. Students who were early today were gathered and explained the procedures. Our car line will also open at 9:05am. Back to school means back on the move, and the Hillsborough Transit Authority is here to help!

Students ages 5–18 can ride HART buses for half the regular fare with a Youth Pass. To sign up, just stop by a HART Customer Service window, available Monday through Saturday.
