Beyond the HCPS dress code policies, Turner/Bartels has a mandatory uniform policy. Our school uniform policy was designed to promote student safety, to improve discipline, and to enhance the learning environment. All students are required to dress in uniform every day. Uniforms must fit properly and be neat, clean and in good repair.
Tops - navy, maroon, or gray polo shirts
Bottoms - navy, khaki, or black dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts
Bottoms must be secured at the waist and meet district length requirements.
No tights, leggings, jeggings, sweatpants or pajama pants
No holes, rips, tears, or cut-off shorts allowed
No Crocs in elementary school (only middle schoolers are permitted to wear Crocs)
No flip flops, open-toed sandals, slip-on shoes, slides and shoes with rollers
On Fridays, TBK8 spirit shirts or college shirts are allowed with jeans (without rips, holes, frays, adornments)
All Middle School PE – Students will be in PE uniform
Hats/hoods on heads are not to be worn while on campus
All shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel
MODIFICATIONS: Modifications to the uniform for religious or health reasons must be requested in writing by a parent through school administration.
