It's National Arts in Education Week! 🎨🎭 HCPS celebrates the importance of arts education, which fosters creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking across our district. Whether through painting, music, dance, or theater, the arts enrich student learning.

CALLING ALL STUDENT ARTISTS! 🖍️ It’s time to show off your creativity with our Every Day Matters Poster Contest. In partnership with United Way Suncoast, we’re challenging students to show why coming to school every day makes a difference. Use a powerful slogan, meaningful artwork, or both to share your unique perspective on what motivates you to show up.

The contest will run through Friday, October 10. Posters must be submitted through your art teacher and sent via school mail to our K-12 Arts Supervisor, Laura Hobby.

Next week is Start With Hello week, to build community and friendship! Start with Hello teaches students the skills they need to reach out and include those who may be dealing with social isolation and connectedness within their classrooms, school, or community. We will have themed days that students can participate in to promote the Sandy Hook Promise program. Here are the steps to Start with Hello:

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR! 🎉 Math Homework Hotline is ready to kick off a new season. Tonight's topic is Sums and Differences of Rational Numbers.

🚘 BEEP BEEP 🚘 The Hillsborough County Tax Collector's Office is hosting another Student Services and Licence Renewals Saturday on September 13! If you know a student ready to take their written or road skills test to get their driver's license, or a family member looking to renew their license, this is their chance.

Appointments are required. Families can call 813-635-5200 (option 5) to register and schedule an appointment for this event, which goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please note: spots are limited and appointments cannot be made online.

Pre-pay for your child's Kona-Ice treat NOW! That's right parents, no more fiddling around trying to make change. Simply scan the QR code, pre-pay for your child's treat, and the kids enjoy. Remember THIS Friday, September 5th, is Kona Ice Day! From 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, students who purchase a Kona-Ice treat can enjoy it after lunch.

Friendly reminder, to maximize student instructional time and reduce classroom interruptions, the office can not accept Kona-Ice funds pass 8:00 am for any student on Friday.
