Dear Thunderbolt Parents and Guardians,
"There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, no politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right."
This is a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Who reminds us that, "Darkness can't drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate can't drive out hate; only love can do that."
We encourage families to take time to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. King. Agreeing with his quote, "Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."
We look forward to seeing every student on Tuesday, January 20th.

Join us for a fun-filled presentation by New World Reading on Thursday, January 15th from3:30pm to 5 pm at Thonotosassa Elementary School! Participants will receive a free meal if they register using the QR Code below. Families will enjoy interactive reading activities, games, food and opportunities to explore the joy of literacy together. This free event is open to all families, and we can’t wait to see you there!
