Reading with the Rays

Recently, some of our 2nd and 3rd graders were selected to participate in Reading with the Rays. This program kicks off the summer reading challenge, where participants can win prizes! Students must log 24 reading hours over the summer to earn prizes.

The program is designed to combat summer learning loss while giving kids a fun, hands‑on way to connect with reading and the Rays community. The free game tickets are a major draw, so aim to complete your 24 hours before the end of summer to secure your tickets. Player cards are available at participating libraries, Suncoast Credit Union branches, or online at RaysBaseball.com/Reading or RaysBeisbol.com/Leyendo.

If you want to join, grab your game card and start reading — the Rays are counting on you to “hit a reading home run” this summer.
