COZY UP AND GRAB A BOOK 📚❄️ Don't forget, the Superintendent’s Winter Break Reading Challenge is underway! Students in PreK–12 are encouraged to grab their favorite book during Winter Break and log every minute they spend reading.

Through Monday, January 5, students can record their reading in Beanstack (Visit hub.hcps.net and click on the Beanstack icon to get started).

Schools with the highest participation will earn a Reader Leader trophy and $500 for library books! Winners will be announced during Celebrate Literacy Week, January 26 through 30.

Bess the Book Bus made another visit to Sullivan Elementary on 11-14-2025. Bess the Book Bus makes stops at local schools. Through grants & donations, students get to browse the mobile bookstore & pick 2 books at no cost!!!! Thanks Jennifer to you & your awesome project!!!

The students at Sullivan Elementary had a great time celebrating Halloween. Tampa Electric provided costumes for ALL our kiddos to choose from. Students went "trick or treating" at Metropolitan Ministries' gymnasium. The students got way more treats than tricks!!!

Help our students "Get Caught Reading!" by creating a colorful and engaging bookmark that celebrates our district-wide literacy initiative.

Educators and students in all grade levels can design a 2.5" x 7" bookmark for a chance to have their artwork professionally printed and shared across schools!
