Stewart Middle Magnet School is proud to recognize Mark Vincent Sosas, a mathematics teacher at Stewart Middle Magnet School in Hillsborough County Public Schools, Tampa, Florida, for being named an Educational Partners International Teacher of the Year.

This special honor recognizes educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching, a deep commitment to student success, and a meaningful contribution to cultural exchange and community impact. Through his work as a mathematics teacher, Mr. Sosas represents the dedication, professionalism, and student-centered spirit that make Stewart Middle Magnet School a place where students can grow academically and personally.

The Educational Partners International Teacher of the Year award is selected through a nomination and voting process involving program members and current teachers. Winners are chosen from the five states where EPI places teachers: North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, and West Virginia. Teachers selected for this recognition must demonstrate outstanding teaching skills, a commitment to student achievement, cultural appreciation and exchange, and support for colleagues and the broader school community.

In Florida, the EPI Teacher of the Year award is presented annually to an educator who embodies these qualities and represents the state at the EPI Summit Conference. Mr. Sosas’ recognition reflects not only his work in the classroom but also the important role EPI teachers play in enriching schools through cross-cultural collaboration and shared educational experiences.
