RoPtsadgers Families - Hot Off the Presses!!

This year, Principal Duran challenged her staff to go ALL IN for your children. That means all in on their learning, their growth, and their success. As your PTSA, we couldn't let the teachers have all the fun. So, we're going all in too, and we're inviting you to join us.

Join us for a Rodgers Family Night | PTSA Curiosity Night Thursday, August 20th | 🕕 6:30 pm | 📍 Rodgers Middle School Cafeteria

Here's the deal: we feed everyone. Dinner is on us. Then the students head to open gym for the evening while parents get the rest of the night off! No distractions, just good food, good people, and real conversation.

First, meet your PTSA. We're Joshua (President), Bianca (Secretary), and Gabby (Treasurer) three people who care deeply about Rodgers Middle and the next generation so we decided this year we weren't going to sit on the sidelines. We're here to put more resources in classrooms, more support behind our teachers, and more opportunities in front of the next generation and we are looking forward to serving alongside you all year long. You can find our bios below!

Why does it matter? The research is hard to argue with. Students whose parents are engaged at school are more likely to earn higher grades, attend school regularly, and graduate. It also continues showing that students with supportive, involved parents are 81% more likely to graduate high school. That effect holds regardless of family, income or background. When parents show up, kids level up. It's honestly that simple.

Second, get your questions answered. Curious what the PTSA actually does with its money? What we have planned this year? How much (or how little!) time it takes to be involved? Come ask us anything!! This night is built for your questions! No commitment required to attend, and no one leaves with a volunteer assignment they didn't ask for. Promise.

Third, and this might be our favorite part... You all get to meet each other. Your kids spend every day learning alongside classmates whose parents you've probably never met. Middle school is the season when knowing the other parents matters most. Come put faces to the names you hear at your dinner table.

So here's our ask: give us one evening. We'll handle dinner, the kids will handle the gym, and you'll leave knowing exactly what the PTSA is doing for your child — and a few more familiar faces in the car line.

We're all in. We hope you will be too.

Meet your PTSA:

Joshua - President:

I'm a Brandon/Riverview kid through and through. I grew up in Hillsborough County's magnet school program, starting at Lincoln Elementary Magnet where a fourth grader named Tiffany caught my eye. She's my wife now. After serving in the Navy, I came home to the community that raised me. Today I help lead Arise Church, which meets right here in the Rodgers cafeteria every Sunday, and I run Home Team, our local real estate team. Tiffany and I have an 8-year-old daughter, Sofia. Serving as your PTSA president is my way of giving back to the schools that gave me so much.

Bianca - Secretary:

I'm a mom first and an educator at heart if I weren't in real estate, I'd be teaching. What people tend to bring me is whatever they're overwhelmed by: a contract, a budget, CDD fees, a curriculum. I take it apart and make it make sense. That's what I do for families buying homes across South County, and it's what I plan to do as your PTSA secretary. I lead with integrity even when it costs me. Family comes first in everything, and I'm still a student myself. I'm looking forward to getting to know the Rodgers families this year.
