About CASAS

CASAS stands for Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems. Most ESOL students in levels 1-6 take the CASAS Reading and Listening Steps tests. There are 5 test levels (A-E). Hillsborough County Public Schools is able to provide high-quality ESOL classes with the help of funding. It is very important students take CASAS tests to help the schools keep the cost of classes affordable and to ensure classes continue. Student should test after 45-100 classroom hours.
