King High School students proved they are among the nation's best mathematicians after an exceptional performance at a prestigious national mathematics competition in Frisco, Texas.

Competing against hundreds of talented students from across the country, the Lions earned a remarkable 9th-place national Sweepstakes finish, ranking 6th in Florida, 3rd among Florida public schools, and the highest-placing Region IV school.

The team's success continued across every division, with all three King High School teams earning Top 10 national finishes:

• Theta Division:

  10th in the nation, despite competing with only three students instead of the full four-member team.

• Alpha Division:

  9th in the nation.

• Mu Division:

  5th in the nation, making King High School home to the

  highest-placing public school calculus team in the United States.

The team's success was built on months of preparation, determination, and collaboration. The Hustle Team—Chan-Young Park, Alexia Steele, Frederick Li, and Jerry Lee—also earned an impressive 9th-place overall finish.

Several students received national recognition for their outstanding individual performances against some of the country's top mathematics competitors.

These accomplishments reflect not only exceptional mathematical ability but also countless hours of preparation, teamwork, perseverance, and a passion for learning. The competition brought together many of the nation's strongest mathematics programs, making each placement an extraordinary achievement.
