PLTW

Project Lead The Way

PTLW enables students to develop critical thinking skills through hands-on project-based learning, preparing them to take on real-world challenges. PLTW BMS courses address knowledge and skills in a variety of career areas in the biomedical sciences, including genetics, anatomy and physiology, public health, microbiology, clinical medicine, and epidemiology.
Nursing

Nursing Pathway

Students who pursue the nursing pathway will be thoroughly prepared to sit for and successfully pass the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) examination upon reaching the age of 18. Additionally, they will be well-positioned for admission into either a two-year college or a four-year university to continue their academic and professional development.
EMR

Emergency Medical Responding Pathway

For individuals aspiring to pursue dynamic careers as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, or Firefighters, an ideal starting point is obtaining the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification upon reaching the age of 18. This foundational credential enables candidates to advance efficiently—qualifying as an EMT-Basic within one academic semester and as a Paramedic within three semesters.
EKG

Cardiology Pathway (EKG Technician)

Students interested in pursuing a career as an Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician are encouraged to follow this specialized pathway. EKG Technicians are trained to accurately follow a physician’s orders in setting up and operating EKG equipment. This includes the precise placement of sensors and connection of leads to ensure reliable monitoring and accurate readings of cardiac activity. Through this pathway, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of cardiac physiology and develop the ability to interpret electrocardiographic data effectively.
Dual Enroll

Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment is a program that allows eligible secondary students (grades 6 through 12) to take postsecondary coursework and simultaneously earn credit toward a high school diploma and an associate or baccalaureate degree.
