It was a beautiful day to be out at Medard Park as our sixth and seventh graders enjoyed a wonderful afternoon fishing and sharing a BBQ with the Scouts (thank you Missy). The students were full of excitement from the moment they arrived, eager to cast their lines and try their luck on the water.
Although no fish were caught this time, that didn’t dampen their spirits one bit. The kids showed great perseverance, patience, and enthusiasm, continuing to cast and learn throughout the experience. Between fishing, laughter, and enjoying a delicious BBQ together, it was a meaningful day spent outdoors building community, resilience, and appreciation for nature.
Moments like these remind us that the experience matters just as much as the outcome, and by that measure, the day was a huge success.
