Dowdell Middle Magnet School

We were excited to welcome Ashley Burd from Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful as a guest speaker at Dowdell Middle Magnet School! Ms. Burd visited our students to share important information about invasive species, helping students understand what they are, how they impact Florida’s ecosystems, and why removal efforts matter. This engaging presentation helped prepare students for our upcoming invasive species removal field trip, giving them the knowledge and context needed to take meaningful, hands-on conservation action. We’re grateful for their partnership and for empowering our students to be environmental stewards.
