Burns Middle School FCCLA has a busy year ahead! Below are the upcoming FCCLA events and competitions. All FCCLA members are encouraged to participate — see your FCCLA advisor for details and to sign up.

Hillsborough County FCCLA District Meetup

November 19, 2026 · 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM · The Regent, Riverview, FL

A fun event open to all FCCLA members! Members from across Hillsborough County come together to compete at the club level (centerpieces, posters, etc.) and vote for District Officer positions. Now is a great time to think about running for a position. There is lunch, games, a guest speaker, and crafts. Cost is usually around $20.

FCCLA District Culinary & Baking/Pastry Competition

December 3, 2026 · 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM · Hillsborough County High School

A fast-paced, fun competition against other schools. School-level winners are selected to advance. If you are interested, see your FCCLA advisor for the recipes so you can begin practicing.

FCCLA District STAR Competition

January 23, 2027 · 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM · Progress Village

Compete here to qualify for the State conference in Orlando. Some class time will be given to prepare a STAR event, and the rest is completed on your own. Florida Proficiency Events are also available (these do not lead to Nationals).

FCCLA State Leadership Conference & Competition

March 21–23, 2027 (starts 9:00 AM March 21, ends 5:00 PM March 23) · Doubletree by Hilton, Orlando, FL

This is the big event of the year! More information will be posted as we get closer. This is one you won't want to miss.

FCCLA National Conference

June 22–26, 2027 · San Antonio, TX (times to be announced)

Like the State Leadership Conference, but much bigger!
