FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tampa, Fl. (October 2, 2026) – Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) released its 2025-2026 Impact Report, a districtwide look at student outcomes, operational progress, and the return on the community’s investment in public education.
Among the report’s key findings:
Our 3rd to 8th grade students continue to make gains in both reading and math proficiency
92.8% graduation rate in our traditional high schools – highest ever!
71% college and career acceleration (CCA) rate – highest ever!
First district A grade in over a decade
First time in district history, every school in our Transformation Network earned an A, B, or C.
“Behind every number in this report is a student who worked hard and a team of dedicated employees who helped make that success possible, from teachers and school leaders to support professionals, bus drivers, cafeteria teams, safety personnel, and district staff,” said Superintendent Van Ayres. “These achievements are the result of a shared commitment to high expectations, strong relationships, and putting students first. With dedicated employees and a supportive community, we look forward to building on this momentum together in the year ahead.”
