In 2018, voters approved a half‑penny sales tax to support improvements in Hillsborough County schools. Since then, more than $1.2 billion has been invested across the district to enhance school facilities, safety, and technology through what is known as the Half‑Penny Promise.
More than $680 million of that work was awarded to local businesses, supporting jobs in our community.
