• Purple Up! for military kids April is Month of the Military Child! This special recognition was established by former Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger in 1986 to honor the important role children play in contributing to the strength of military families. The Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3) is encouraging everyone to Purple Up! and wear purple on April 21, 2021, as a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifice. The color purple was chosen because it symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine Corps red and Navy blue.

  • Welcome to Hillsborough County Public Schools, the 7th largest school district in the nation. We are proud to be home to 4,000 military-connected families in schools across our district.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our military families, especially our youngest heroes – your children, our students. We are dedicated to serving you, as you serve us.
