Realizing Exceptional Achievements at a Community Hospital also known as REACH is a Hillsborough County Public School Adult Education Program that provides training and support to young adults. REACH offers each student an opportunity to explore career options, utilize public transportation and improve self-advocacy and social skills that will ensure their potential as successful, independent and contributing members of the community.

Application Process for Entry into the REACH Program
- Call (81) 243-7059 or email reachsoniaal@gmail.com to set up an appointment to visit. Visits are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:45am.
- Get an application and 2 Student Inquiry forms during the visit.
- Fill out application and give the 2 Student Inquiry forms to teachers who know you well.
- Give completed application to your Case Manager or ESE Specialist at your school. They will put the application and the 2 completed Student Inquiry forms in the manila envelope that is provided and then put the packet into school mail to REACH.
- When REACH receives your application and Student Inquiry forms, you will receive a phone call. Applications will be date stamped on the date REACH receives it.
Several times a year, when there is an opening, REACH conducts screenings of the candidates whose applications have been received. After the screening, the applicants get a letter in the mail letting them know if they passed the screening and when their start date will occur.

My name is Alex, I am currently writing a small book. On weekends I like to sleep, draw, and be on my phone. My goals for this year are getting a paid job at the Humane Society, learning to cook, and being more independent. The REACH program has taught me to be on time and learn to take responsibility for my actions.Cameron
My name is Cameron. I graduated from Plant High School. I work at CUP on Tuesday evenings in South Tampa. The REACH program is fun. I love it! I get to learn new things and make new friends. My goal for the future is to get a paid job at the hospital, work on computer skills and make new friends.Conor
My name is Conor. I graduated from Pepin Academy. In my free time, I enjoy using the computer. I plan to graduate from the Reach program and learn to be a veterinarian.Crystal
My name is Crystal. I graduated from Chamberlain High School. On the weekends, I enjoy dancing, music, and my boyfriend. I love the REACH program. I have learned how to ride the city bus, and I am good at it. I want to learn how to advocate for myself and make new friends. I am good at cleaning, mopping and janitorial jobs.Emma
My name is Emma. I graduated from Steinbrenner High School. In my free time I enjoy playing video games and filming movies for YouTube. I have plans to live independently. I would like to learn everything from the REACH program. I am learning how to be a good employee.Isabella
My name is Isabella. I graduated from Bishop Mclaughlin High School. On the weekends I like to swim. I have been on the Special Olympic team for many years. At home I work hard and reach my goals. A fun fact about me is I love horses and I am a good rider. My goal for the REACH program is to make new friends and getting a paid job with animals.Jack

I don't have a full view of what my plans for my future will be just yet but I am still trying to figure it out, and I'd like to figure out what I could do for my future with the help of the REACH program.Malik
My name is Malik. I graduated from Broach. When I am home, I enjoy watching YouTube, playing basketball, and lifting weights. I have plans to help people be successful, teaching at a school or being a therapist. I would like to learn to be more confident in myself from the REACH program.Samantha
My name is Samantha. I graduated from Armwood High School. In my free time I enjoy drawing, dancing, singing, and listening to music. I am kind and respectful. I am helpful to my teachers and my peers. My first job at the hospital was the mail route. I am knocking it out of the park! I would like to learn how to make friends from the REACH program.
