Hillsborough County Public Schools is committed to increase community engagement throughout the district. The district fosters wider and more substantive community commitment by sharing information with schools. The goal is to strengthen our collaborative network with district/school personnel, parent, community, and faith-based organizations. The district provides a variety of ways for an individual, organization, or business entity to collaborate with the district/school. Procedures have been implemented to allow for the review of such interest including non-fee and fee based proposals, school fundraisers and information/flyer distribution (see below).
The District Review Committee (DRC) is comprised of 20 plus members, all representing different aspects of district, i.e. principals, auditing, procurement, etc (none of the school board members are on the DRC) The DRC meets on a monthly basis and reviews all proposals that involve participation of students, parents and/or school staff. Proposals are examined to determine how they align with the board approved priorities/goals. Acceptance of proposal is based on its alignment with our approved School Board Strategic Plan.
- DRC meetings are monthly, deadline for submissions of a proposal is the first Friday of the month. Applicants do not appear before the DRC.
- Our proposal system does not allow for attachments at this time, once your information is submitted you will receive an auto-reply email advising you of what back up materials are required to be sent, prior to agenda placement. Please email them directly to DRC@sdhc.k12.f.us
- Should your proposal only include an on-line submission, you will be placed on the next meeting agenda available.
- Applicants will be notified via electronic email letter of their parameters from the DRC within 7-10 business days after the DRC Meeting.
