Hillsborough County is located in the west central portion of Florida, a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Hillsborough County is 1,266 square miles and is the fourth most populous county in Florida with nearly 1.5 million people. Hillsborough County boasts some of the most prestigious universities and colleges in the state and the nation, including the University of South Florida, University of Tampa and Hillsborough Community College. The entertainment and recreational activities in Hillsborough County are unparalleled. Adventure Island, Busch Gardens, Tampa Museum of Art, Glazer Children’s Museum, Dinosaur World, The Florida Aquarium, ZooTampa and the Museum of Science and Industry are just a few. Hillsborough is also home to Alafia River State Park and Hillsborough River state parks.
