  • New Mask Mandate Update

    At Tuesday’s School Board Meeting, the Hillsborough County School Board voted to remove the medical exemption opt-out requirement of the face-covering mandate and default back to the original mask mandate prior to August 18th that allowed for a parental opt-out with no medical documentation required.

    Being quarantined can be tough. We understand how difficult it is for our students, and their parents, to have to deal with a quarantine. Especially for our students who have had to be quarantined multiple times.

  • HCPS COVID-19 Data Dashboard

    Hillsborough County Public Schools has created a COVID-19 Data Dashboard to inform parents, students, staff and the community about the spread of coronavirus in our schools. The COVID-19 Data Dashboard will be updated automatically every 4 hours from 7a.m. – 7p.m. seven days a week. Schools impacted by COVID-19 cases are listed along with the number of employees and students. We vow to remain transparent as we monitor the number of COVID-19 cases in our schools.

  • Reopening Frequently Asked Questions

    At an Emergency School Board meeting held August 18, 2021, the School Board of Hillsborough County approved a motion to require mandatory face coverings for all students and staff for a period of 30 days. That has since been extended an additional 30 days until October 15. To help better understand the district’s decisions and what it means for individuals, below are Frequently Asked Questions that will be updated as guidance from local, state, and federal agencies becomes available.
