Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Ferrell Girls Preparatory Academy! I’m Eric Turner, and I am honored to serve as your principal. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of working within this extraordinary school community—as a teacher, assistant principal, and now principal. Ferrell holds a special place in my heart, and I am excited to continue our shared work of shaping confident, capable, and compassionate young women.
At Ferrell, we believe girls can accomplish anything when they are supported, challenged, and inspired. Our mission is to empower students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Through a rigorous curriculum, meaningful enrichment, and a strong focus on character development, we provide a nurturing and focused learning environment where each girl can discover her strengths, embrace her identity, and pursue her dreams.
This year’s theme, “Ferrell Fierce,” captures the bold, resilient spirit of our school community. It’s more than a slogan—it’s a mindset that calls us to approach learning and leadership with confidence and determination. To our returning families, thank you for your continued trust and partnership. To our new families, welcome to a community that celebrates sisterhood, excellence, and potential. I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead and to working together to ensure every student leads, learns, and thrives.
We empower our girls to excel in rigorous academics and character education while fostering them to be positive forces in our global community.
Ferrell GPA earned an A rating from the Florida Department of Education! This incredible achievement is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and excellence of our students, staff, and families. Ferrell continues to set the bar for academic success, leadership and sisterhood.
These young ladies received the Thurgood Marshall award The purpose of the poster contest is to provide opportunities which develop awareness, remote understanding and encourage conversations along with discussions and activities related to African-American culture. This hopefully will lead to learning about appreciating and celebrating the history and contributions and a compliment of African-Americans in our community state and nation.
