Learn Spanish With Us

Spanish

As an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) school, we value developing internationally minded learners who are open to other cultures and ways of communicating. Spanish is offered to all students in Kindergarten through 5th grade as a secondary language of instruction. During weekly 50-minute classes, students build their vocabulary and practice simple conversational skills in a fun, engaging environment. Rooted in the PYP’s emphasis on inquiry and communication, our Spanish program helps students become risk-takers who confidently explore a new language and strengthen their identity as global citizens.
PSPE in the PYP

PSPE

Personal, Social, Physical Education empowers students to be active, balanced learners who understand the importance of health and well-being. In weekly PE classes, Kindergarten through 5th grade students develop fundamental motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Through movement, games, and fitness activities, they practice being communicators, collaborators, and principled participants both on and off the field.
Strings Program

Strings

Our Strings Program, led by the talented Ms. Rollins, brings the joy of music to students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Trained in the Suzuki method, Ms. Rollins creates an engaging and supportive environment where young musicians can explore the violin and even the cello. Through this innovative program, students not only build technical skill and a love for music, but also gain confidence as performers. Participants proudly showcase their talents at school, district, and community events, sharing their music with a wide audience.
Art in the PYP

Art

Our Art program nurtures creativity and self-expression while encouraging students to be inquirers and risk-takers. Kindergarten through 5th grade students explore a variety of media and techniques, connecting their artwork to PYP transdisciplinary themes. Through the creative process, students learn to reflect, problem-solve, and appreciate multiple perspectives as they express themselves as young artists.
