  • Communication with Gaither

    Dear Parents and Students:

While we are working to minimize exposure of our students and staff to possible COVID-19, we are asking parents to email their child's guidance counselor if there are any questions or concerns about their student's schedule that needs immediate attention  (i.e. already passed the course, no lunch period, missing a class or classes). Our counselors have been making substantial progress attending to scheduling needs.

    Counselor Information:

For last names A-De: Myla Uppercue, Dh-Je: Vanessa Caban; Ji-Oz: Kelliejo Montes; P-Sn: Thomas Mazard.

For email, please follow this format (counselors first name with a period followed by last name and sdhc.k12.fl.us)

You may also call 813-975-7340 extension 217, Guidance Department. If you are going to sign your child out of school for a valid reason (i.e. doctor's/dentist appointment) call 813-975-7340 extension 213, Student Affair's Office. Sign out times are from 8:30A - 1:50P on Monday and 8:30A -2:50P Tuesday-Friday.

We ask your utmost patience as we are working as diligently as possible with high volumes of cases (it takes approximately 45 min to an hour per student) to rectify changes to schedules and your call/email is very important to us.
