Principal's Message

Jennifer Heinze, Principal

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!
This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate our 100th anniversary—a century of educating, encouraging, and empowering students. As a legacy school, Edison has proudly served our community for generations, and we look forward to honoring that history while continuing to grow and support our families.

I am excited to begin my eleventh year at Edison, having spent five years here as a teacher, and now entering my sixth year as an Edison administrator. It’s a privilege to lead a school where the mission to educate, encourage, and empower is more than just words—it’s the heart of everything we do.

Proud Principal, Jennifer Heinze

Eagle Running Club

Health development club! Joining a running club at school offers kids a fantastic opportunity to grow both physically and emotionally. Running is a fun, low-cost activity that promotes fitness, builds endurance, and encourages healthy habits from an early age. Beyond the physical benefits, it fosters self-confidence, discipline, and teamwork as kids set goals, support one another, and celebrate their progress. It also helps improve focus, reduces stress, and boosts mood, which can positively impact their academic performance and overall well-being. By participating in a running club, children not only develop a love for physical activity but also gain valuable life skills that shape them into resilient, well-rounded individuals. We are so grateful to offer this club in partnership with The University of Tampa!
