Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at McKitrick, where we are Rooted in History to honor the twenty-five years of educating students.
We celebrate our “A” grade for the 2025-2026 school year! The proficiency of our students far exceeds the district and state and demonstrates our staff and students’ commitment and hard work.
As one of the largest elementary schools in Hillsborough County, McKitrick remains committed to ensuring a safe, challenging, and collaborative environment for staff, students, and families.
Our dedicated and caring staff provide the environment that parents look for and students grow in. I am proud to be the principal of McKitrick Elementary School.

Music
Elementary school music classes engage students in singing, playing instruments, and exploring rhythm and melody through fun, interactive lessons. These programs build musical skills while fostering creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
