• Each year Hillsborough County Public Schools participates in the Tampa-Hillsborough County Storytelling Festival, sponsored by the Hillsborough County Public Library. HCPS Library Media Services, HOST, and HCPS Arts in Education partner to bring local storytellers into schools for after-school storytelling workshops. Participating students learn first-hand about the Art of storytelling & practice telling. Many of our young storytellers perform in the Storytelling Festival; some are even invited to serve at storytelling ambassadors.
