Choice Hardship
Choice Hardship allows parents and legal guardians, with a documented hardship, an opportunity to submit a request for a school that is capped for School Choice. Note: Requests are not automatic. Choice Hardship is limited and only available under extreme (documented) hardships. Transportation is not provided.

For School Choice, Magnet, Career and Technical Education (CTE) schools or Choice Hardship schools, apply during open application periods. All Hillsborough County School Choice and CTE applications are subject to a computer lottery to choose applicants except CTE Middle Schools and all Magnet High Schools. Acceptance into these schools are based on student academic scores.
