Hillsborough County Public Schools has been awarded a 5-year School Based Mental Health (SBMH) grant.
The grant, funded by the United States Department of Education's Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities National Program, provides a $2,000 sign-on bonus or a one-time $3,000 retention bonus payment to school counselors, psychologists, and social workers.Recruitment Bonus/Sign-on Bonus: All school counselors, school psychologists, and school social workers hired on January 1, 2023, and after will receive a one-time bonus payment of $2,000.00.Please note that recruitment bonuses will be paid in the fall and spring semesters. Recruitment bonus recipients are not eligible for retention bonuses, as they will not meet the anniversary benchmark date before the grant sunsets.If you have any questions about the grant, please email SBMHGrant@hcps.net.
