  • What is CEP  Community Eligibility Provision?The federal Community Eligibility Provision allows eligible schools to provide meals free to all enrolled students.

    How are schools selected?Schools are selected based on the percentage of directly certified students attending each school.  View the list of CEP and Non-CEP Sites>>

    What is a "directly certified" (DC) student?Students may be directly certified when they receive certain federal benefits including SNAP, Medicaid and TANF. Students identified by the district as homeless,foster, Head Start, migrant or runaways also are considered directly certified.  

    What if I have students in both a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) School and in a school without Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)?
    Submit an application and include all students in the household.
