Hillsborough Education Foundation's School & Classroom Enrichment Grants
The window is now open to apply for a School and Classroom Enrichment grant from Hillsborough Education Foundation. Hillsborough Education Foundation uses an automated online grant application platform that allows teachers and principals to post school projects or programs to seek funding from HEF and the community. Hillsborough County Public Schools teachers and administrators may submit applications for consideration. Project requests must be at least $100 and cannot exceed $2,000. To apply, you must register using your district email address, then complete your project application(s). Once an application is submitted, it will go through a two-step approval process. The first step is for your principal to approve or deny the project via an automated email. Next, Hillsborough Education Foundation will review it. Once your application is approved, you will be contacted, and the project will be posted to the public site. Please keep in mind that all funded projects require an online impact report and teacher thank you letters that must be submitted into the system. Students thank you letters and photos of the project are also encouraged.

Pets in the Classroom Grants
Pets in the Classroom is an educational grant program that provides financial support to teachers to purchase and maintain small animals in the classroom. The Pet Care Trust established the program to provide children with an opportunity to interact with pets—an experience that can help to shape their lives for years to come. If you have received an initial grant in any previous year, you will only be eligible to apply for a $50 Sustaining Grant for the upcoming school year. See the website for more details (K- 9th Grade)

Publix Community Giving
Publix supports organizations that focus on youth, education, reducing hunger, and alleviating homelessness in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Donations for school clubs and teams will be made payable to your qualified school, not to booster clubs. Please be sure that your school is registered, and that you apply on behalf of the school when making these requests.

Wish You Well Foundation
The Wish You Well Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations that promote family literacy in the United States. The focus of the Foundation is on the development and expansion of new and existing literacy and educational programs. Grants range from $200 to $10,000. Requests should align with the Wish You Well Foundation’s mission: "Supporting family literacy in the United States by fostering and promoting the development and expansion of new and existing literacy and educational programs."

H2O for Life Project Mini-grants
The mission of H2O for Life is to improve local and global communities by engaging students as change-makers for a better world. Mini-grants are intended to kick-start service-learning projects focused on the global water crisis and to benefit partner schools. Grants may be used for service-learning project expenses. Alternative Fuel Foundation
Green Education Program grants are available for educational institutions to aid in the development of programs that promote renewable energy, environmental sustainability, and earth stewardship. There is a preference for funding requests that promote the awareness and use of alternative fuels or promote the concept of sustainability. Projects that encourage parent involvement and build stronger community spirit will be favored. Please note the grant money cannot be used to pay for memorials, stipends, salaries, artists in residence, field trips, scholarships, or third-party funding. Only 10% of any award granted can be used toward outside resources such as labor, installation, consultation, and delivery. Typical grants range from $250-$500.

The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation
Grants are available to create outdoor edible orchard classrooms at public schools of all levels, across the country, to provide generations of students with environmental education. FTPF ideally seeks schools that can accommodate at least 20-25 trees on school grounds (at 15 ft. intervals) near existing irrigation sources (e.g., spigot or sprinklers). The trees, materials, orchard installation design work, and onsite environmental curriculum with students are all donated, free of charge for the benefit of the school and its students.

Vulcan Materials Company Foundation Education Grants and School Partnerships
Vulcan Materials Company Foundation supports public schools and institutions of higher education in the communities in which it operates. The foundation partners with public elementary and secondary schools in its operating communities to improve educational programs, and to date has adopted 225 schools. The foundation is also interested in efforts to encourage elementary and secondary school students to develop interests in mathematics, science, and business. The foundation also considers proposals from institutions of higher education that focus on science and engineering or improving public education. Priority is given to proposals that directly affect the outcome of the educational process, such as scholarships, science, and technology programs. Eligible applicants are public charities and units of government, such as public schools.

USA Track & Field Foundation Youth Club Grant
The USA Track & Field Foundation encourages youth track clubs and programs from all areas of the United States to apply for financial assistance. The Foundation favors the use of grant money to expand existing youth programs/clubs, to provide additional competitive opportunities for children and to enhance the experience for all participants. USA Track & Field Foundation Youth Club Grants provide funding for equipment, uniforms, meet fees, travel, facility rental, staff and volunteer training, and outreach activities. Walmart Community Grants
Walmart local community grants are awarded through an open application process and provide funding directly from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities to local, eligible nonprofit organizations that directly benefit the service area of the facility from which they are requesting funding. Guidelines include the following: Local Community grants range from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $5,000.
Applications may be submitted at any time during each quarter funding cycle. All applications will be reviewed prior to the next funding cycle.

The TD Charitable Foundation provides financial support through its grant application process to organizations providing services in these areas of focus: Financial Security, Vibrant Planet, and Connected Communities. Classics for Kids Foundation
Classics for Kids Foundation works to empower young people to shape positive futures through music, build sustainable stringed instrument music programs, and provide grants for high-quality instruments. The foundation strengthens string programs through their matching grants, which encourage partnership and local philanthropy. Schools and nonprofit organizations seeking fine instruments for their programs that can show evidence of need and commitment to raising matching funds are eligible to apply. The foundation offers matching grants only, whereby schools and nonprofit organizations raise at least half the funds to purchase the requested number of instruments, using a provider authorized by the foundation or, after discussion with the foundation, an alternate provider of instruments of similar quality. Applicants have one year from the date of application to raise matching funds. Only programs that serve children in kindergarten through grade 12 are eligible for grants. Lists of current projects and partner schools or community music programs that have obtained stringed instruments through Classics for Kids Foundation are provided on the website. Toshiba America Grant Program for 6-12 Science and Mathematics Educators.
Toshiba America Foundation accepts applications from teachers who are passionate about making science and mathematics more engaging for their students. The foundation seeks to support teachers by providing funds to support classroom projects. The foundation strongly encourages projects planned and led by individual teachers or teams of teachers for their own classrooms. NEA Foundation Student Success Grants

The Frederick and Florence Bauder Endowment for the Support of Physics Teaching
The Frederick and Florence Bauder Endowment for the Support of Physics Teaching (Bauder Fund) was established to support special activities in physics teaching. The Bauder Fund will consider applications that request funds for: Providing grants for the development and distribution of innovative apparatus for physics teaching; providing funds to obtain and or build and support traveling exhibits of apparatus; or providing funds for local workshops. Up to $2,500 to fund local workshops for teachers who spread the use of demonstration and laboratory equipment. The Bauder fund will support purchase of supplies for workshops, liability insurance for workshops and demonstration programs. Dissemination of results of the activity is expected. Dollar General Literacy Foundation
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and libraries that offer literacy programs in communities served by Dollar General in 44 states. The Foundation provides support through the following grant programs: Adult Literacy Grants support nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to adults in need of literacy assistance. Family Literacy Grants support family literacy service providers that combine parent and youth literacy instruction. Summer Reading Grants help nonprofit organizations, schools, and libraries with the implementation or expansion of summer reading programs for students who are new readers, below grade level readers, or readers with learning disabilities. The Snapdragon Book Foundation seeks to foster children's literacy by providing support to school libraries serving disadvantaged children. In a time when many schools are reallocating their funds to technology and audiovisual equipment, the Foundation hopes to make sure that school libraries are still offering children good books to read. NEA Foundation Learning & Leadership Grants
Learning & Leadership Grants support National Education Association (NEA) members who are public school teachers, public education support professionals, and/or faculty and staff in public institutions of higher education for one of the following two purposes: 1) Grants to individuals fund participation in high-quality professional development experiences, such as summer institutes, conferences, or action research; or 2) Grants to groups fund collegial study, including study groups, action research, lesson plan development, or mentoring experiences for faculty or staff. The grant amount is $2,000 for individuals and $5,000 for groups engaged in collegial study. All $5,000 group grant applicants must include partner information. All professional development must improve practice, curriculum, and student achievement. "One-shot" professional growth experiences, such as attending a national conference or engaging a professional speaker, are discouraged. Decisions regarding the content of the professional growth activities must be based upon an assessment of student work undertaken with colleagues and must be integrated into the institutional planning process. Grant funds may be used for fees, travel expenses, books, or other materials that enable applicants to learn subject matter, instructional approaches, and skills. Recipients are required to exercise professional leadership by sharing their new learning with their colleagues. Important: Unless you designate your school or the district as the fiscal agent at the time of application, any grant funds you are awarded will be considered personal income by the IRS and you will have to pay taxes on it. Be sure to read the NEA's website regarding fiscal agents before you apply. Learning & Leadership grants will fund projects up to $5,000. Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics: Kenneth Kidd Mini Grant
FCTM will award up to four mini-grants of up to $500 for projects to improve mathematics education in the State of Florida. The Board is looking for high quality projects which will improve mathematics education at any grade level (Pre-K – Post Secondary). Projects which have been funded in the past include writing guidelines for competitions at the elementary level, developing monthly activities for each grade level in an elementary school, organizing community resources, etc. Project ideas will be judged on originality, uniqueness, and the potential impact on teachers and students. Association of American Educators (AAE) Classroom Grant
Classroom grants from the Association of American Educators (AAE) Foundation can be used for a variety of projects and materials, including but not limited to books, software, calculators, mathematics manipulatives, art supplies, audio-visual equipment, lab materials, and more. Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline. All full-time educators who have not received a scholarship or grant from AAE in the past two years are eligible to apply. Fred and Jean Allegretti Foundation Education Grant
The Fred and Jean Allegretti Foundation makes grants to organizations that support the health and well-being of children, adults, the elderly, and the physically challenged. The foundation focuses its grant making on humanitarian support, medical treatment, housing, education, and the arts. Grants are intended for general operating support and specific programs. Previous grants were used to fund preparatory high schools, education foundations, and programs for women and girls. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations in Colorado or Florida. Sharon Gewirtz Kids to Concerts Fund
The Sharon Gewirtz Kids to Concerts Fund provides small grants (up to $1,000) to provide the opportunity for middle school strings students to attend live, high-level performances of classical music, receive mentoring from accomplished classical musicians, or participate in other related programming. Grants are open to schools and nonprofit music programs throughout the United States, and eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need to be considered. Grants are awarded one time, annually, and are made on a one-time basis. String education must be the key component of any music program requesting a grant.

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators: Amber Brown Grant
The Amber Brown Grant commemorates author and beloved school speaker, Paula Danziger. One school is awarded each year with an author or illustrator visit and new books to continue Paula’s love of connecting children with creative influences. The school will receive an all-expense-paid visit by a well-respected children’s author or illustrator. The chosen school will also receive a $250 stipend to create a memorable day and $250 worth of books by the visiting author/illustrator.

The Frederick and Florence Bauder Endowment for the Support of Physics Teaching
The Frederick and Florence Bauder Endowment for the Support of Physics Teaching (Bauder Fund) was established to support special activities in physics teaching. The Bauder Fund will consider applications that request funds for: Providing grants for the development and distribution of innovative apparatus for physics teaching; providing funds to obtain and or build and support traveling exhibits of apparatus; or providing funds for local workshops. Up to $2,500 to fund local workshops for teachers who spread the use of demonstration and laboratory equipment. The Bauder fund will support purchase of supplies for workshops, liability insurance for workshops and demonstration programs. Dissemination of results of the activity is expected. Suitable methods are talks or posters presented at state or national AAPT meetings, articles written for the AAPTeNNOUNCER, for The Physics Teacher, or the American Journal of Physics. Only AAPT members may apply.

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) offers STEAM Educator Grants that support science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) activities; innovation; and classroom excellence. McDonald's of Florida is fueling the imagination, education, and growth of area students with Golden Grants, a local program that supports individuals, educators, programs, and organizations serving students grades K-12. Florida Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher Grants
The grant is open to general education and agriscience teachers in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who want to use agricultural concepts to teach core subject areas. National Agriculture in the Classroom: 2024 CHS Foundation Classroom Grant Application
CHS Foundation provides $500 grants each year to Pre-K-12 teachers who have classroom projects that use agricultural concepts to teach reading, writing, math, science, social studies and more. Florida Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Mini-Grant Application
Florida Farm Bureau Agriculture in the Classroom (FFB-AITC) is pleased to offer a Mini-Grant program for educators during the 2023-2024 school year. Florida Agriculture in the Classroom - School Garden Grants
Florida Agriculture in the Classroom’s School Garden Grant Program is designed to fund school garden projects that will educate Florida’s students about the importance of agriculture, healthier meal options and allow teachers to use a school garden to teach Florida standards. The following School Garden Grants will be available:

FAITC – School Garden Grants

NextEra Energy Classroom Makeover Grant Program (Florida Power & Light Company)
This grant program is intended to provide transformational learning opportunities in historically underrepresented and/or under-served K-12 classrooms. Funds are available to address needs in infrastructure, technology or resources that will advance STEM curricula, exposure, and careers to diverse students in a classroom setting.
This grant is open to all public, private and charter schools and all grade levels in our service area in Florida. Grants are also available to schools in areas served by our sister company, NextEra Energy Resources. As with all foundation grants, no customer dollars are involved. This grant is for $50,000 and if your school wins, only the superintendent would have the authority to sign the grant award/contract. Please let the grants office know ASAP if you are awarded.
