Hillsborough County Public Schools Offers

  • Full benefits, $18.65/hour, felxible schedules, paid training, guaranteed 7 hours or more

Bus Driver Qualifications

    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Have at least a 10th-grade education
    • Have at least five (5) years of driving experience with a regular driver’s license
    • Possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit or a valid CDL license
      • Free training classes offered to prepare you for the CDL Permit
      • Opportunity to earn CDL for free
    • Applicants must take a DOT physical, including drug testing, and fingerprints (paid for by HCPS)
    • Criminal background must be cleared before hire
    • All bus drivers are subject to random alcohol and drug testing
    • All bus drivers and bus attendants must be able to communicate in English
