Student Affairs Administration
Assistant Principal of Sumner Academy 2027 & High School (Students A - Be)
I am a proud veteran of the United States Navy who has always valued education. It was only fitting for me to become an educator when I retired from the military. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social and Health Services with a graduate degree in that field as well. Nonetheless, I also have an advance degree in Leadership for Higher Educational Leadership. I’ve held teaching positions at Shields and Rodgers Middle Schools along with Williams Middle Magnet School teaching ESE Students in Math, Reading, Language Arts and Social Studies. It was at Rodgers Middle School where I became a Reading Teacher. I then went on to receive my Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership which afforded me the opportunity to become an Assistant Principal at Pierce Middle, Young Middle Magnet, and Sgt. Smith Middle School prior to becoming a member of the Sumner High School and Academy 2027 Family. I look forward to serving our students, teachers, staff, families, and our community. When I’m not on campus, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, reading, exercising, and shopping.
