• To Apply for Financial Aid

     

    All students applying for any type of financial assistance at Erwin Technical College must complete an application online at: FAFSA Website

    Students' level of eligibility is determined after an application has been submitted to the Federal Processing Center.

    In order to fill out the FAFSA you will need:

    • Social Security Number
    • Prior Year Tax Return Documents
    • Driver's License Number
    • Current Bank Statement
    • Mortgage & Investment Records (if any)
    • Alien Registration Number (if not a U.S. Citizen)
    • Parents' Tax Return Documents (if a dependent)
    • Valid high school diploma/GED

    All students are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Aid via email or phone prior to starting school. This allows the Financial Aid Department to begin processing financial aid on the students' behalf. Financial aid disbursements may be delayed if the FASFA application is not completed in a timely manner.

    Financial Aid Eligibility

    Financial Aid eligibility is established based on the number of clock hours specified in each training program. Tuition and other fees may be deducted from award payments, based on students’ signed approval. Students will be provided with a yearly award letter that outlines the financial assistance they are eligible to receive and the approximate disbursement date of their first check.
