  • Tampa Bay Technical High School (TBT) was established in 1969 as Tampa Bay Vocational Technical School.

TBT's program is now an exceptional blend of academic rigor and technical relevance. An dedicated faculty provides instruction in everything from advanced placement to certified technical skill courses. The campus resembles a community college campus with large laboratory facilities for several unique technology programs.

The student population is an even mix of ethnicities. The students must apply to this school and transportation is provided by the school district through a bus transfer system.

TBT has a rich academic and cultural history with our administrators, past and present. Our newly assigned principal, Mrs. Ernestine Woody-Bethune, is the second female principal to hold this position and is the first African American appointed.
