Volunteering in Hillsborough County

  • We encourage all parents or guardians, and community partners to fill out the required HCPS Volunteer Application.

Completing this application is the first step in the process for volunteering in one of our schools. Please be aware, at this time all general volunteerism is suspended until further notice. As a result of COVID19, the district is limiting access to visitors and volunteers. Please contact your school for further instructions.

In Hillsborough County Public Schools, the health and safety of our students, families, and staff is our number one priority; therefore, we have implemented Visitor/Volunteer safety guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19 whenever possible.

We are thankful to the many volunteers and community partners that say Y.E.S. (You Empower Students) every day to empower students with skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to prepare students for life.

    Stay safe and healthy,
    HCPS Volunteer Services

*All volunteers and community partners must complete the online HCPS Volunteer Application each school year. Applications submitted prior to July 1, 2020 will expire on June 20, 2020 or end of fiscal year. Charter School volunteers must contact directly with the school of interest.

  • The Volunteer Services Department is committed to working with volunteers and community partners. We serve as a liaison to link volunteers and community partners with our schools.

Volunteers and community partners are saying “Y.E.S.” every day to empower students with the skills, knowledge and attitudes that are necessary to “prepare students for life”.

    Volunteer Opportunities to say “Y.E.S.”:

School based volunteer, business & community partnerships, mentor, speaker and enrichment programs, classroom presentations, and days of service.
